BIO_ Maggie Kempinska was born in Poland and crossed the Danish border at the age of seven. From an early age, she found joy in creative expression and immersed herself in books, which became a refuge during a lonely childhood. This inner storytelling impulse first took form in her studies in visual merchandising, where she created seductive, theatrical displays turning retail spaces into miniature stages of narrative and desire. After graduation, she was drawn toward the blank canvas, paintbrush in hand, and further shaped by acclaimed mentors such as: Tal R, Pierre Beskow, Peter Land, Søren Martinsen, and Eva Koch. Here, her artistic language expanded into painting and conceptual experimentation, where material, gesture, and intuition became central tools. Her practice carries a strong visual-art sensibility that continuously moves between disciplines. She works with painting, collage, object-based compositions, and spatial storytelling, often blurring the boundaries between illustration, installation, and literary form. Her works explore memory, identity, femininity, and transformation, translating emotional states visual worlds where symbolism and material presence coexist. Her path later led to the world of advertising, where words and visuals became equally powerful instruments of expression. A growing desire for creative freedom led her to a freelance career, allowing her to explore and combine her many talents across media and platforms. In 2020, during the global pandemic, she embraced the role of author and visual storyteller. Today, her work exists in the intersection between literature and visual art, where storytelling becomes both image and object, and where each project unfolds as its own self-contained artistic universe.
