ABOUT THE ARTWORK
For my latest series "Homage" I employ a range of tools to layer contradictory visual strategies, fusing the history of appropriation with the newer phenomenon of collectively generated imagery by culling user-generated content from social media platforms. This series also incorporates the immediacy and physicality of my earlier abstract work, compressing photographic and painterly indexical modes to shape new kinds of pictorial space.
