Italia Black and White Collage

Glued on to cardboard, these ripped pieces of torn posters give the feel and visual sensation of the billboards of Naples, Italy where primarily they were torn from. It is inspired by the dynamic and intoxicating street art of Italian cities which perfectly resembles the hustle, bustle and traffic of these places. The broken information depicted in this artwork tells of past events, places and times long gone but still echo now with life and excitement and drama. During the making of this piece I remember well some of the streets they were torn from, the midday heat and chaos of some of these places which I hope the viewer will get a sense of.
