The Roman soldier's spear head is brass plate. The nails are 60-D common construction nails. The crown of thorns are sharpened dowel rods inside twisted vines for a crown. The cuts are deep and torturous throughout the body. The Lion of the Tribe of Judah peers from behind the right side of the crucifix. The Dove representing the release of the Lord's Spirit when the work was finished. Joseph of Arimathea would beg for the body of Jesus to place it in his own tomb in the left side background. Moses and the children at the cleft of the rock, are in the central background. The angel of the Lord in a Pillar of Fire by night and Pillar of Cloud by day, above them. Mary and Martha stand and view in horror from the near distance. The baby in the manger. The Lamb, slain from the foundation of the world. An angel strengthened him in the Mount of Olives.
