This Portrait of Mona Lisa is a part of the "Great Masters" series in which I decided to "work" with my favorite portraits of the world greatest painters like Da Vinci, Botticelli, Ingres, Vermeer and others. I tried to create my own vision of the most famous female portraits, to show the eternal beauty of the masterpieces in the prism of contemporary art. I also add a three-dimensional perception of these portraits, make them closer to the viewer, make them speak in a modern language, transforming their content into the form.

Tatiana Zaytseva – contemporary artist, based in Miami, Florida, and originally from Smolensk, Russia, brings a unique blend of cultural influences and artistic exploration to her work. With a background in Philosophy from Moscow State University and studies in History and Theory of World Culture, Aesthetics, Art History, and Contemporary Art, she has cultivated a diverse artistic perspective. Epoxy resin has become Tatiana's primary artistic medium, a culmination of several years of dedicated exploration that has elevated her skills to a remarkable level. Within this versatile material, she has not only found the perfect medium but also a means to delve deep into her artistic philosophy, centered around texture, color and creativity. However, her journey transcends the surface. It's a profound exploration that leads her to fuse diverse concepts into her creations. Inspirations drawn from the masterpieces of 20th-century famous artists such as Mark Rothko and Georgia O'Keeffe have left an indelible mark on Tatiana's creative process. Using these masterworks as her muse, Tatiana peels back the layers of paint, revealing the concealed narratives, ideas, structures, and even music that she sees beneath the surface. Within Tatiana's art, the focus is on revealing inner narratives and contexts, a journey of discovery toward new meanings. These meanings can manifest in various forms, such as music, feelings, memories, and thoughts. An intriguing element lies in the viewer's role as the interpreter, defining their own perceptions of her artworks. Each person can discern something distinct when observing her pieces. Moreover, Tatiana consistently imbues her creations with a sense of dynamism. All elements and structures within her artworks convey an appearance of perpetual motion, constantly overlapping, connecting, and influencing one another. For instance, as one color melds into another, it gives rise to fresh colors, depths, and the sensation of concealed layers. These novel relationships are transferred to the viewer, fostering a unique and individualized experience for each observer. In her capacity as an artist, she continually searches for ways to generate distinct emotional responses in her viewers. Harmony, in all its nuanced forms, stands as one of her paramount objectives—a testament to her dedication to capturing the essence of life's resonant symphony within her resin-bound works.
