Christine grew up on the western coast of France surrounded by the sea, the forest and marches. His father was keen in scuba diving and made her discover the mysterious seafloor’s beauties. She has always been passionate about all forms of creation and spirituality: “I have been moved by a sweet and expressive frenzy ever since I was a little girl. Spinning colors, the slow rising of a gesture about to emerge, the velvet tone of a voice dancing with silences, the nose of freedom, the rhyme that strokes the ear…I am in tireless awe of the light and shadow hued creative process.” Later on, she pursued an international career in corporate events and communication. At the same time she continued to attend art classes in various establishments such as the Central Saints Martins in London or the Lille Centre for fine and visual arts in northern France. In 2013, at the Parisian studio “Terre & feu”, she was encouraged to express her taste for abstract art. From then on, she has been developing a very colourful style. Christine loves improvisation, therefore she paints without sketches. Before starting a new piece, she meditates in order to leave enough space for a present emotion, a message or a memory to emerge. These feeds her creation phase and gestures while the painting reveals itself slowly day after day. She has fun using various techniques on paper or canvas such as: ink, acrylic, chalk, varnish to which she overlays sand and crushed sea shells. “I am anchoring myself to the ground to better reach the stars…” Christine is sensitive to the spiritual and sacred dimensions of art. Each artwork is an act of faith in life and the human divine being. Her art is a testimony of a quest for authenticity and openness to the world. While sharing pieces of her life, Christine invites us to benevolent introspection aiming at increasing self-love and respecting mother earth. Being bicultural, with a German mother, she is concerned about contributing to the promotion of diversity, integration and better living together. Christine has lead several art workshops with vulnerable populations in France and abroad. In 2012, she obtained a diploma as an art-therapist at the Lille faculty of medicine. Since 2016, Christine has taken part to several exhibitions in Europe (France, Italy, Belgium) as well as to American online exhibitions including with the Manhattan Arts International organisation.
