ABOUT THE ARTWORK
BoyPrince was created using a vintage French newspaper clipping of a military man (for the body) and an antique hard photo of a young boy (the head). Using an acrylic impasto technique I emphasized the colors, added some bright life to the skin with oil pastel, and used gold metallic paint to create a halo around the image. Small touches of smeared black paint on the mouth and eyes give a haunting feel.
