This dots artwork is made from a collection of vintage music score pages. The 50's and 60's covers of the single sheet scores have the most incredible two colour graphic prints on the front covers. Bright bold, largescale typography, textures and patterns. This piece is made from carefully selected sections of the covers. I bond the sections of the graphics onto wood, press and glaze them to give them a painted patina and then laser cut them into circles. The circles and then mounted on paper 3D onto the backing paper. This 3D mounting technique gives a floating shadow box effect. Artwork comes ready framed in a black box frame 5cm deep. This piece can also be made on a white background and white frame.

Abstract artist, Amelia Coward is renowned for her explorations into mixing, blending and grading colours, with a growing international profile. Born in 1975, she holds a 1st class Honours from Central St Martins and MA from the Royal College of Art. Her artworks can be found in both private and corporate collections worldwide. Amelia creates artworks that focus on the interaction of colours combined with the carefully composed spacial balance between geometric elements such as circles and stripes. Influenced by her woven textile training she uses laser cutters much the same way as she was trained to use a loom, cutting geometric shapes then reassembling them in patchwork compositions. Located in a traditional Oast Barn in the Kent countryside, Amelia combines her prolific making of new pieces with her commercial giftware business, Bombus. Each influences the other. Amelia has a team of creative makers in her studio to help to assemble, photograph, frame and pack all the works.
