In general I believe that every visual artwork is enough by itself and should not need a special explanation. But as usual viewers need some words about artworks for understanding them better, I would suggest in this case, to read the poetry of Lao Tzu and remember that moments in life, when seeking for spiritual growth. The jacket that i glued on canvas is not just any jacket.. this one has many personal stories inside, ..my father bought it to me when i was 17 and i was wearing it very oft during my art revolutionary teenager´s adventures.. :) After having it long time and not wearing it anymore, i decided to glued it on canvas and give it the immortality it deserves of being my partner with my life experiences. However, hope you like it and please feel free to see and share other symbolic messages which this artwork is able to give to us. For example, the butterfly is also a strong symbol of metamorphosis, of change, of immortal life and of amazing creation of mother nature... "Being as a butterfly" can mean also to be able to grow spiritual and change your shape for understand life in a new way...
