A pivotal visit to an art museum in Kansas City, Missouri, awakened in the artist a lasting commitment to the study and practice of visual art. Through personal study and hands‑on experimentation, the artist has developed a multidisciplinary approach that includes acrylics, pastels, and mixed‑media collage. His work often incorporates unconventional materials—newsprint, chains, keys, light bulbs, wood, and glass—each chosen for its expressive and symbolic potential. He believes that art should extend beyond aesthetics or trend, carrying meaning and relevance while offering viewers a way to reflect on shared human experience. Much of his inspiration comes from images that document pivotal moments in history—such as the Hiroshima mushroom clouds, the moon landing, or environmental disasters. He treats these images as cultural artifacts that deserve renewed attention and interpretation. His art is guided by a deep interest in the relationship between painting, poetry, and philosophy. He seeks to translate thought into visual form by exploring philosophical insights, shaping them into language, and ultimately transforming them into compositions that are both visually cohesive and emotionally resonant. In addition to painting, his creative pursuits include photography, rock sculpture, and landscape design. He is also the creator of the strategic board game Exagon and the author of We the People Are Supreme (1974).
