"Shoot for the Moon" by David Fredrik Moussallem. Mixed media on carved paper. Signed on the back. Framed with high quality plexi.

Please allow 1 week after ordering to finalize framing.

My works focus on urban youth. I like to compare the potential of a generation with the wasted potential of the same group. There is an underdog story to most of the pieces - I'm rooting for those trying to make it. In a lot of ways the works are also about my own childhood. Growing up all over the world, I had the opportunity to experience a changing world through the eyes of a child. These days I like to revisit those times, as I’ve never been able to let go of all the wonder.

David Fredrik Moussallem is a “post-graffiti” painter but his deconstructed carved collage paintings are definitely influenced by the street art movement. His background in Advertising, Graphic Design, and Typography heavily influence his compositional approach and he describes his pieces as “revealing our differences and similarities in a raw and honest approach”. David’s carved collage works immediately made a strong impression with collectors and curators, and in only a few short years he was named an "Artist to Invest in Now" by Saatchi Art. He has garnered a world-wide following of private collectors and his work currently resides in over 15 countries. His work is represented and exhibited at galleries in Paris, New York City, California, South Florida, and his hometown of Toronto, ON, Canada. His most recent solo exhibition, titled “Cityscapes”, took place in New York City (SoHo) at Muriel Guépin Gallery.
