Sunny and Warm Collage

I was inspired by the warmth of the sun to create this tree titled Sunny & Warm. The background is a cheerful yellow. I individually sculpted/textured/painted and adorned each circle on the tree with found objects/items I've collected over the years such as crystals, mirrors, beads, jewelry, ceramic pieces shaped like flowers, moons, hearts, etc. and other treasures. I hand-painted with acrylic paint the tree trunk and background of the tree - once artwork is assembled, I then coat the artwork in a 2 part epoxy resin which permanently embeds each circle/treasure on the tree and creates a shiny, irresistible surface over the artwork. I then mounted the artwork onto a 9x12 inch wood panel that I painted a beautiful, warm shade of orange to create a frame to blend with and make this artwork pop. I used multiple colors of red, pink, orange, yellow, purple, black and white within the tree. This artwork is wired on the back for easy hanging.
