The Botanist (framed) Collage

I work using photographs and ephemera collected from around Europe. I have exhibited in Bristol, Spain, Germany and have works in private collections internationally. I use thread and collage techniques to create aesthetically beautiful work.

I produce intuitively freehand into the material, creating a series of themes like masks and rainbows, or one off works like 'The Botanist'. I create a narrative or impose an intervention on the materials I use to compel a new vision. I follow the work of Julie Cockburn, Tom Butler, Ruth Van Beek, Angela Deane... I love the use of found materials and good old style craft.
