"Thirst" Collage

nna Alexandrovna Monastyreva was born in Ryazan on April 27, 1983.
Graduated from the Ryazan branch of the Moscow State University of Culture and Arts, Department of Environment Design.
Since 2019, Anna Alexandrovna has been actively exhibiting. From 2019 to the present, she has participated in more than 20 regional, city, and international exhibitions. In January 2021, the first solo exhibition was held (Ryazan, Museum of the History of the youth movement "On the Verge").
Member of the TSHR (Creative Union of Artists of Russia).
She studied with such venerable watercolorists as Sergey Kurbatov, Ekaterina Maltseva, Prafull Savant, with the collagist Alexandra Prokopova.

I adore the graphic, ragged, piecemeal world of my collage characters, some kind of phantasmagoric theatrical production that both amaze and fascinate. I often see a landscape or a still life, or a person, and I understand that this is a collage, a combination of color and shape of a collage. In the collage, I am close to the cuteness, geometricity, roughness, grotesqueness. Here, the selection of texture, the edges of the glued pieces, and color play an important role. I like to complement my collages with graphics using ink, elements of my watercolors. In this technique, I am free and unpredictable.
I conduct a dialogue with the viewer, through the characters. They live, solve their problems, they are assembled piece by piece from pieces and scraps of something.. Newspapers. Smears. Lines. Phrases'. They're like us.
It is impossible to imagine the final picture of the collage. There is an idea in my head, but how it will fully result is unknown until the end. Collage is a kind of quest from the beginning for me, then for the viewer. In the collage, I take topics related to a person. For example, love and friendship.
