ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This piece was inspired by old National Geographic magazines and their advertising throughout the 1930’s and 40’s. Interestingly enough… there were no ads for automobiles when world war 2 broke out. It was replaced by fighting aircraft ads…. Yet to come. I felt a deep sense of euphoria and excitement when I did this piece, as well as a deep sense of uncertainty for what was about to come in that era.
