About The Artwork
This is a diptych of two 18x24 wood panels. I took the portrait photograph of my subject, once with eyes closed, and once with them open. I then wrapped the photos onto the wood panel and painted over them. The painting gets more chaotic for the open eye panel conveying a disruptive returned gaze from the subject.
