Yellow Birch Forest Collage

This is the third collage I have made about birch forests. I have begun embracing the making of these tree collages as a restorative process for when I am stressing about my art and finding it difficult to proceed. The repeating motif of the pale tree trunks, lightly shaded and intersected by dark horizontal lines is calming, and on a certain level that is what I'd like its viewers to feel when looking at this piece. As much as this is a continuation of my exploration of this subject matter, I also try to refine my process with each new iteration. I believe this is the cleanest, most unified birch forest collage I have made to date.
