David Mew is a visual artist based in Los Angeles, California who works primarily with traditional digital imaging, algorithmic and generative design, and AI-driven tools. He was a New Futures award recipient and was handpicked by Saatchi Art to exhibit at The Other Art Fair.
David’s creative process blends structured logic with intentional curation to shape the visual language of his Geo-Surrealistic landscapes. These compositions emerge from process and randomness, where algorithm meets discovery.
Originally trained in foundational drawing and painting techniques, David’s approach evolved alongside the rise of digital media. He sees each new wave of technological change from early imaging software to generative coding to AI models not as a threat to creativity but as an expansion of it. Mew is an Indexed Artist in the Techspressionism art movement.
