ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Four distinct and mutually supportive segments, one bridging the others by stretching from upper left to lower right, struggle for balance. They set up a vibrating focal point slightly off-center (at the left) which is carried outward by the black, arrow-shaped, energy aiming for an escape at the upper right. The arrow (grounded at the bottom) carries the energy of the work beyond its frame. This energy continues to be fed by the red convolutions at the middle left which act as an inexhaustible cauldron. The turbulence is somewhat steadied by the blue-violet region at the top seen to pervade much of the upper right part of the work. The struggle for balance is rooted in a multiplicity of incommensurable contexts united by common ground whose energy is widely dispersed. Parts and whole are entirely interwoven, giving rise to the notion of transformation. The work is printed on Hot Press Fine Art Smooth Bright White paper (an acid free, 100% cotton rag media with a bright textured finish, yielding an extremely high color gamut and black density). It is signed and numbered by the artist, accompanied by a CoA, and shipped without hanging hardware, in a very sturdy tube protected against folding and puncture.

Delivery Time:

I am an experimental artist working in digital painting, graphics, abstract photography, animation, and textile design. My work is abstract in the sense that I invent shapes, colors, and textures without reference to representational concerns. Working entirely digitally, I consider the boundaries between domains of visual art as entirely permeable. Since I work with a large variety of tools aided by a mastery of controlled random, the outcome of my composition and design processes are unpredictable; their results often straddle the line between established visual-art categories.
