Counterbalance No. 2, Edition 1/10 Artwork

Abstract digital painting, contemporary. The work is composed of 2 very broad as well as a multitude of thin lines of varying size which intermingle. Their upward motion withstands the heavy stroke on the left that seems to try to hold them back. The upward motion is strengthened by a number of ascending small round shapes at the bottom right. By way of different (muted) colors the feeling of distance within the space is created in the middle of the plane which enhances the rising energy within the image. The complexity of the image technically derives from merging spontaneous drawing and painting movements with intuitively controlled algorithmic processes. The work is printed on Hot Press Fine Art Smooth Bright White paper (an acid free, 100% cotton rag media with a bright textured finish, yielding an extremely high color gamut and black density). It is signed and numbered by the artist, accompanied by a CoA, and shipped without hanging hardware, in a very sturdy tube protected against folding and puncture.
