Dance like no one's watching Artwork

Eleni Sakelaris is an artist and designer based in Athens, Greece. Her work is a game between delicate lines and bold forms, balance and movement, resulting in something lovely and yet powerful and iconic. Her admiration for aesthetic and the written word are the driving force behind a need to create a visual language that is whimsical but also entirely literal. Sometimes hand carved linoleum prints and sometimes digitally produced typography bring an essence and varying texture to the monochromatic work she produces. In her multidisciplinary creative career stemming over fifteen years, she has worked as a designer in the prestigious communication and research centre Fabrica in Italy, as a graphic designer in the award winning advertising agency Karamella in Greece and Lecturer at the London College of Fashion. These days, from her studio base in Athens she undertakes commissioned visual identity assignments and experimental visual arts projects.
