ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The work captures emotions caused by ‘sheltering in place’ during a pandemic. Surrounded by external walls on all sides that diminish in size only at the top, a wide rectangular opening offers scant opportunity for looking at, and none for looking into, the world beyond. However palpable the yearning for release, imprisonment continues within inner and outer walls. The work is printed on Hot Press Fine Art Smooth Bright White paper (an acid free, 100% cotton rag media with a bright textured finish, yielding an extremely high color gamut and black density). It is signed and numbered by the artist, accompanied by a CoA, and shipped without hanging hardware, in a very sturdy tube protected against folding and puncture.
