About the Artist

Rogster Art

United Kingdom

Hi, I'm Rogster.
As a child of the 70s I was raised in a single parent family in a tough, gritty working class environment on the south coast of England, it instilled a determined attitude and a strong work ethic in me from an early age.
At around 10 years old I became a disciple of hip hop culture, I love the music, the fashion and most of all the graffitti - Hand of Doom by Seen still gives me the same tingle it did when I first saw it about 40 years ago.
As Ive grown older I've developed an appreciation for other art styles such as abstract art, pop art, street art and now I'm starting to dabble with digital art.
No matter what though, I find I always return to my first love - graffiti, I suppose I'm classed an old skool hip hopper, you'll find my rocking my Adidas and pumping out some Ice-T!
My art is a stew of many ingredients, obviously inspired by graffitti, with undertones of industrial settings, a spoonful of a street art vibe, a splash of abstract, with a sprinkle of pop culture and cult classics, I strive to bring a unique perspective to my work as an artist.
I believe that anything is possible if you work hard enough and capitalism has been both my ally and enemy in life, but ultimately it has given me the motivation to be successful.
