Falling in love with image editing appears to give resource to go beyond designing and creating something new, mostly unexpected for Zürich-based artist Beate Tubach. Although primarily a painter, sometimes Tubach’s process sees her overlaying paint with digital images to create symphonic collages of color and pattern. Both forms of creation – painting or using a graphic tablet- inform and influence each other within her practice, revealing new depths to the artist’s work. - 'Digital drawing lets me express fast and clear - there’s an ease of handling occurring while catching that momentum when the download impulse comes.
