This artwork was made entirely on a digital device. It is NOT a photo of an existing artwork. It is a true original work of art. And there's only one like it. Limited edition printed on matte paper with archival inks White border of 1,5 inch (4 Cm) Signed and numbered by the artist Needs to be framed Shipped in a tube with a certificate of authenticity NOTE: The images in home decor are for display purposes only. Please refer to the exact size provided in the description. I work in a spontaneous, intuitive and gestural way, where the unconscious takes up more space than the conscious. I do not seek to represent my environment, but rather to evoke an emotion. I first choose a colour palette, then I spread the paint without really thinking. When I am satisfied with the result, I take a break which allows me to think about the next step. I add details that guide the eye through the work and give it meaning.

Chantal is a self-taught abstract painter from Montreal, Quebec, Canada. Her paintings are collected throughout the world: Canada, United States, Australia, Singapour, Mexico, China and many countries in Europe. Her works has been featured in Circle Quarterly Art Review Magazine, curated by Myrina Tunberg Georgiou. Chantal's abstract paintings express the world through colours, movement and spontaneity. She does not seek to represent her surroundings, but rather to create emotion in the observer. This emotion is undoubtedly the fruit of the interplay of colours and spontaneous gestures that underlie each work. The pigments are applied in large, spontaneous and rapid gestures where the subconscious takes up more space than the conscious. When she starts a painting, she works with pure colours, mixing them right on the canvas. You can still see the brush marks in the final work. She adds crayon, graphite and charcoal marks. Several of her paintings are enhanced with writing. Even as an expressive painter, Chantal pays a special attention to colour balance and composition.
