Scott Bear is self-taught in visual arts. His photographic work is changed through digital manipulation to achieve the right feeling and emotion for each work that is displayed. Exploring symbolic representations of solitude, reflections, spiritual enlightenment & darkness. The final work I end up with is interesting with colorful, dark tones that reach out & pull the viewer in. A familiar motif of mortality, spirits & supernatural beings in his works vexes a curious sub-conscious question and purpose in life & beyond. I also dabble in abstract art through digital manipulation. I hope that the viewer who finds a sense of wonder in my work takes something in return in the sense of curiosity that opens doors to certain aspects in the art itself in this strange realm.
