Hello dear art lover, welcome to my artist profile! My name is Milumei. I'm an artist and graphic designer based in Germany, my hometown is Aachen, near the borders of the Netherlands and Belgium. My artistic journey began with studies in German literature and art history, eventually leading me to graphic design and roles as an Art Director in advertising agencies. Since 1998, I've been working independently as a graphic designer, allowing me more freedom to explore my creativity as an artist. I’m always in pursuit of new challenges and forms of expression. Recently, I've been captivated by the possibilities of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in contemporary art. This fascination has led me to delve deeply into AI art, constantly exploring new techniques and styles. Because I also still love to paint by hand, I often take my digital art as a starting point and refeerence to draw by hand. My work reflects a passion for blending traditional and modern media. By merging graphic design, classical art, and AI-generated art, I create unique contemporary pieces that provoke thought and inspire. Each creation is an experiment and a journey into uncharted creative territories. As a cat lover, don’t be surprised if you spot a cat here and there in my artwork. My work is inspired by great artistic role models like David Hockney, Henri Matisse with his impressionistic masterpieces, and Pop Art masters Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein. Besides my original paintings I create contemporary art pieces with AI art and refine them using Procreate and Photoshop. I print them on cancas or aquarel paper and also like to paint on them wth acrylic markers or adding some playful glittery effects. I enjoy playing with vivid color palettes and bold, clear applications of color, likely stemming from my background as a graphic designer. I am still working as a freelance graphic designer to for my rent, while my passion always is to create art.
