This sketch done with soft pastels is drawn in the impressionistic style. A nice attempt to capture that windy and half stormy weather on the coast. Unframed, 20x26 cm on Strathmore paper. This drawing was exhibited on the 3rd Online Exhibition of NPS (National Pastel Society of Russia) in 2020.

I'm best know for working with soft pastels and watercolours. I love sketching and sometimes I cannot help leaving my new paintings in a "rough sketch" phase. Because I think that the greater admiration of the nature lies in the first impression. In my childhood I used to spend a lot of time in Crimea, Feodosia. So now when I live in Moscow I miss the sea every day. And I love drawing it more than anything else! Being rather a graphic artist, I still love working with watercolours and sometimes oil paintings. Some of my works are in private collections in Russia, Spain and Norway. I sign my original artworks with "LA" or "LilleAnja". It's the nickname connected to my dear Oslo city and my Norwegian friends.
