The passion of Drawing has brought me to Art College, Kolkata from a picturesque village where I was born and brought up. My passion for my Art and its learning has still submerged me to create something which give me artistic pleasure and extreme happiness. Living in Vibrant Kolkata over 3 decades, my permanent home has not decimated my intense love for my root, my village, culture, people and most importantly the folk artist and their way of living. These all have cast an everlasting impression on my mind and body. Simple people, their way of life and their innocence have always been an integral subject of my creation. In my childhood days, I remember jute stick and wood were used as fuel for cooking. And how I collected small pieces of left out burned woods and tried to draw sketches in my Math exercise book Later in my College life I got acquainted with Charcoal Medium, a form which is very close to me and used it to give form of my imagination on paper and canvas. Through my work I have always tried to express lively and simple happening around me that touches my heart and soul. Innocence and Simplicity are keys of my artistic expression. I heartily desire that my Art will touch in every way the heart of Art lovers.
