“An Apple a Day" - Day 88 – March 23th Drawing

Patricia Achenbach-Veira (1968) is a visual artist in the disciplines of painting and graphic art. In her work Patricia is inspired by series and by the differences and similarities between all kinds of subjects. Bring to mind the self-evident things in life like the alphabet, numbers or for example the four seasons. Patricia gets her inspiration not only from series and from nature, but also from various meetings and conversations with different people. Patricia starts with one idea, on which makes a number of variants. That idea can be a word or a sentence or image that she sees or hear in her surroundings. A word, a detail can be enough to create an entire world. Patricia tries to make that world visible and tangible. Patricia continues working until her concept has been executed as she desires. Despite of her having a number fixed ideas and values, Patricia is often surprised by the progress and outcomes of her work.
