A bit of a grey morning in Skye so we stayed off the hills and went fossil hunting instead. Skye has a number of amazing fossil areas. We don't really know what we are doing, but it is still fun to study the ground with intensity looking for something hidden 150 million years ago. Suits our group love on detective mysteries. So after a very dodgy-slippy cliff walk down to Bearreraig Bay, I set about doing some sketching, and left the kids to the Jurassic hunt. Nobody else on the beach but us and some sheep. Lots of seals watching us from just off shore. Pretty productive morning all around really. Time well wasted. Sketched on facing pages in-situ.
