Breadlines Drawing

This piece is part of a series of narrative works about the social and cultural history of bread. Bread is one of the very few near cultural universals. Everyone has some experience or thought about bread, both positive and negative. It nourishes and gives life, yet its absence is synonymous with hardship. Some people love bread, some people cannot even eat it without become ill. These works use bread as a means by which to explore history, art, experience, anthropocentrism, and much more.
