Strange Rainbow It is a graphic series by the artist Rebeca Mayo. Made with mixed techniques such as colography and collage, but also with pictorial and textile materials. The result are illustrations and engravings that deal with a topic of total topicality. Irony and humor to describe the present. A situation of pandemic, of canceled dates, of uncertainty, of fear, of unemployment but also of found time, of rediscovery, of blue skies, of birds that sing louder. A time to invent, create, and why not? Also to drown and let off steam. Weird times, times of hope, sad times, but in the end time. A time that bears a rainbow as its insignia. And of course, we all wonder what is behind this strange rainbow? Here are some visions ..

Spain
My name is Rebeca Mayo, I was born one day with rain in the inconceivable city of Mexico, I grew up in a small town full of markets and street vendors, I have always thought that the world is a great show. I enjoy watching, I am pleased to have my head full of impossible scenes. I studied Fine Arts at the UGR in Spain, at USP in Brazil and at UABJO in Mexico. At the age of 25 I opened a store in the center of Granada and set up my own brand ENTRÓPIQA, in it I materialized all my curiosity. I have been a teacher at the SCHOOL OF ART GRANADA in the subject of SKETCHING AND CREATIVE PROCESS, later I decided. A nice house in the Albaicín neighborhood (UNESCO) to turn it into a guest house, after 3 years and 2 children I closed it to open myself again to the harakiri of the arts.
