About The Artwork

Portrait of Dani Klein of Belgian group Vaya Con Dios. Promo photo shoot from 1988 for a single called Puerto Rico. To this day one of my all-time favorite songs. Growing up in Serbia the band was hugely popular there and I took the love for their music with me moving across the world. I booked my trip, flight, Airbnb and all to visit Puerto Rico in early 2020 and the whole thing got cancelled of course, but still it's on the top of my bucket list. From what I know Dani is also still waiting for her 1st time visit... Who knows, perhaps I'll run into her next year in a pub in San Juan, while in the background we would hear Aie, aie, aie, aie Puerto Rico ? Graphite on paper.
