Eve Drawing

Hi I'm Eve a practicing artist and educator. I could write a long stuffy bio about myself that would leave you in a state of awe, but hey we are all humans just trying to find the fountain of young! Some of us having fun and being our true selves along the way. My truest "trues" is that my story of how I became an artist would not be honest if it did not include the fact that I became a mom first, at the very young age of 19. Dropped out of college(art degree of course)got married and four years later, three kids later I was 23 and a single mom. Long story short I put myself thru college and began my career as an arts leader, advocate, practicing artist and activist. I fell in literally love with the figure while studying in Italy, returned home and have not yielded from my love of telling stories through people in my work since. This on going narrative is what fuels me. I've been very fortunate over the years to be included with some extremely talented artists in exhibitions and have gained some really awesome patrons. Now, Im living my best empty nest life with my twin sister in Richmond, VA and my cat Nina! I continue to create and teach and never forget "I have to constantly re-identify myself to myself, reactivate my own standards, my own convictions about what I'm doing and why" - Nina Simone!
