In dreary dank weather, it leads to suicidal thoughts and a desire to fill the sadness with alcohol. Stone, classic, restrained. At the same time, my favorite museums are there: Russian and the center of Mikhail Shemyakin. In the city, a spirit of freedom is felt, people really respect the distance, personal boundaries and are generally more cultural than Moscow. Homeland of activism, disagreement with the single line of the party. Restrained tones, lots of water, skyscrapers that are only on the outskirts. Talented street musicians, the birthplace of the film "Walk". . . A place inspiring by its gray detachment a mass of artists and not only. Many are drawn there by a magnet, not just visiting the city, but settling in it forever.
