The artwork was inspired by Walt Whitman’s poetry. He said: 'Immense have been the preparations for me'. In other words, all the Universe has been working for billions of years to create the human beauty, so that we are recommended to treat it gently. That is the reason why I depict people with graphite on black paper to keep their images implicit. The photo you see here is just a poor substitute of the real artwork as the human eye’s sensitivity – i.e. ability to recognize halftones – dramatically exceeds the dynamic range of any camera, computer monitor or smartphone screen.
