Original expressive charcoal, ink and watercolour drawing of a hare - drawn in April 2018.

Hares are a favourite subject matter of mine. I have depicted this one here with charcoal, ink and watercolour using a variety of tools and marks which express the vigour with which I drew it. An eraser and blender becomes tools too as I use them to soften and move the form until I achieve the character I am seeking. My intention is to develop my depiction of Hares in an expressive way and to produce artwork that reveals the character, real or imagined, of the subject and to entertain and inspire the viewer with the results.

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

My work develops from a love of drawing and I express myself by producing pieces that reveal the energy and marks used to create them. I aim to inspire and entertain the viewer through conveying beauty, humour or expression in my work. I am frequently found to be using watercolour and pen and ink. Mistakes cannot be hidden with these materials, and so I embrace the challenge of Watercolour and enjoy the erratic nature of dip pens as they catch and splatter across the page adding 'accidents' and unpredictability to my work.
