About The Artwork
I saw a magnificent tiger on one of my visits to the Pench sanctuary, near Nagpur, India. It was the month of April, the cruelest month, as Eliot would put it, and this beauty came to the watering hole and sat beside a small pool in all her majesty. The tigress held me in her hypnotic trance for a full fifteen minutes. Her piercing looks stayed with me till long after the visit. In this hyper realistic drawing I have used graphite pencils for most parts and charcoal for the darker areas. It took me three days to complete the drawing and it is made on Brustro Ultra smooth 250 gsm paper and ships in a tube.
