Drawing since 2008, my artworks tend to be very detailed images of animals; usually a close-up where you can see an expression which draws you in. Mostly self-taught, but with a basic background of tertiary design from Wellington School of Design in 1993, My mediums are predominately fine coloured pen, coloured pencil and acrylic on paper. I am deeply inspired by music, and each peice is named after a song and is also wrapped up in the story of the moment that Im is capturing. In 2015, I was asked to exhibit for the New Zealand hosting of the Art in Embassies Exhibition at Camperdown, the United States Residency, in Wellington. My artwork, entitled 'Wearing The Inside Out' portrays the famous Manukura, the White Kiwi. My drawing of a morepork, entitled “Sister Moon” won the People’s Choice Award at the Aratoi Museum of Art in February 2016. Business: Wild Honey Art Ltd - est. 2012 - Director & Co-Founder.
