Daniel grew up in northern Michigan, Maryland, and Florida. His father was an epidemiologist and his mother was a schoolteacher. He has two brothers, both scientists and he has two adult children. He graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in graphic design and began a long career in advertising as an art director and illustrator. His work has been shown in a number of public exhibitions and private collections including The Orlando Museum of Art, Mills Gallery Orlando, CityArts Orlando, and ArtFields Festival in South Carolina. His work was recently featured on billboards in the Orlando area. He gathers inspiration from the earliest days of photography to create contemporary paintings and drawings using a variety of traditional and digital media. His most recent work has been experimenting with the area between representation and abstraction using the figure as a starting point. He divides his time between painting, graphic design, avoiding looking at his phone, and writing about himself in the third person.
