About The Artwork

Series: The Nature of Art. Borges refutes the old idea that art is an imitation of nature and affirms, with sarcasm, that it is actually nature that imitates art. Maybe we, the artists, should be able to answer this paradox, rather than concepts, with our work. Each artwork, each artist is a response to this problem. My hand is part of nature. The brush that drives my hand is made of the same wood and the same fur of the animals and trees that I capture in my paintings. The blood that moves my hand contains metals, minerals, the same metals that appear in my work. So what is the difference between nature and art? With saturated colors, determined brushstrokes and with an imprecise golden environment, or just with ink and a paper, I try to show that art and nature are made of the same essence.
