The work of Nathalie Jaguin is distinguished by 4 points: Brutality in the thickness of the strokes Naivety through the elimination of contours Generosity through the richness of details and colors Dexterity, because most people who would try to do the same with as much material would discover the definition of the term "uncontrollable." At first glance, the complexity of Nathalie Jaguin's work is unsettling; what might seem detrimental to the artwork becomes its greatest strength. Nathalie Jaguin is a French painter, born in 1978. She is recognized for her landscapes, portraits, and still lifes, which she executes in oil and acrylic with a palette knife. Her style is described as a blend of delicacy and brutality, where the subject is a pretext for letting the material speak. Her works are present in museums and private collections in France and abroad. She has received several awards and distinctions for her work, notably: The Silver Medal from Arts Sciences and Lettres in 2024. The 1st prize in the "international place to paint summer contest" by Sennelier in 2021. In 2015, she received a mention for the entirety of her work at the Pluie de toiles exhibition in Brest. In 2014, she won a bronze medal at the International Salon of Arts and Letters in Pléneuf Val André. In 2013, she won the public's choice award at the Rencontres culturelles du Château de Tronjoly. Her painting "Lumière rose 7" (Pink Light 7) joined the permanent collection of Dimitris Copelouzos in Athens, Greece. It is now in his collection alongside 140 renowned French artists. Mr. Copelouzos holds works by artists such as Warhol, Botero, Dubuffet, Kounellis, Wesselmann, Boetti, Gilbert & George, Indiana, Kippenberger, Hirst, Zhang Xiaogang, Kusama... In 2025, she appears in the book "101 art Book landscape" among 101 internationally renowned artists. Nathalie Jaguin exhibits regularly and has been a professional artist since 2003, with a permanent studio-gallery in Quintin, Brittany. She is also the author of the book "Peinture à l'huile : peindre sans croquis" (Oil Painting: Painting Without Sketching).
