About The Artwork
This is a portrait of a blackbird my daughter found wounded not far from our place. The blackbird spent a weekend with us, and we were digging in the garden, looking for her food. We managed to find a veterinary clinic that accepted the wild bird, and we left her there for medication and later transportation to the rehabilitation center. So this story has a happy ending. And here’s the portrait. I created it from photos, while the birdie was staying in her room to keep her comfortable and less stressed. I used colored pencils to capture every small detail of our guest. That’s all, folks!
