Ovanez Papazian is an Armenian painter, living in Romania. He graduated with Honors the University of Arts "Nicolae Grigorescu", in Bucharest, Romania, in 1990. He has followed his passion since he was very young and continued painting ever since. Ovanez has been a professional artist for more than 35 years and an active member of the Artists' Academy in Romania. His paintings are presently part of private collections across the globe, mainly among the worldwide Armenian community, which he proudly represents. Early inspiration was his father, who was a reputable graphic designer. Ovanez grew up in an artistic environment and his talent and artistic curiosity were a clear sign of what he was about to become years later. His art is unique, and reflects the passion for idyllic landscapes, complex graphics, symbols, portraits, pastels, romantic settings and vivid imaginary characters. "My creations are monuments dedicated to the ones who suffered and may still suffer from the atrocities and crimes against humanity, in each and every form they may take: attacks to human dignity, humiliation, degradation of human beings, slavery, dehumanization, massacres, murders, discrimination, torture, racial and other inhumane acts. My artwork preaches for happiness, preaches for people and their right to have a beautiful life.", Ovanez Papazian
