VIEW IN MY ROOM
This painting is part of a group of paintings that I made this summer. The deconfining, the socializing with people, the joy of children, and the walks in the open air - suddenly we again feel all the necessary stimuli for a normative human condition. I did several experiments with cotton paper support, mixing acrylic, watercolor, dry pastel and alcohol markers.

Vera Fonseka is an artist based in Portugal whose paintings have been widely exhibited nationally. She describes her works as conveying the paradoxical existence between the scrupulous intricacy of the details and the brutality of iconography. Fonseka's artistic process is marked by her use of mixed techniques with adhesives, fabrics, acrylics, and oils on canvas. She was born in 1982 in Tallinn (ex URSS, actually Estonia) in an actors-family. In 2003 Vera moved to Portugal where she's been living since then. Inspired by Kandinsky, Frank Stella, Beatriz Milhazes and Alexandra Mir, Vera Fonseka tries to make conceptual contribution in Contemporary Art. Artist Statement: « Inspired by the disorder of the present time. »
