'Old Bolshoi passion' is part of my series 'Nowness in B&G'. It was realised in my studio in NYC form a picture of the two notorious Bolshoi dancers Sergei Polunin and Natalia Osipova. 'Nowness in B&G' (B&G stands for Black & Gold) regroups several small sizes works that capture nowness in society. It can be based on personal photographs of everyday life or images I am captured by. I started this series in 2019. This artwork is inspired by the beauty and tension there is between the two dancers who, at the time, where not only working together but also in a relationship. I here highlight the complexity of domination and affection in love. TECHNICAL DETAILS Some parts of the painting have liquid gold which gives the drawing another dimension under different lighting (see other pictures). The artwork is sold as-is, signed, on paper, ready to be framed.

From Paris originally, Oscar Lett first studied art in France. The artist moved to London in 2010 to pursue practice and studies there and then moved to Japan to explore a long time fascination for the Japanese art culture. Strong of a European background with Asian influences and a growing affinity with Street Art, Oscar finally moved to NYC for an artist residency in 2016 and has stayed there ever since as Oscar's art message has been well received in the big apple.
