About The Artwork

IT IS NOT A PHOTO it is a drawing!! I want to leave a piece of Italy in Your homes Title: Piazza Santo Stefano Bologna done on 22: 02: 2018 drawing No. 112 Pencil drawing of my photo at 400 degrees Bologna saw from Piazza Santo Stefano It was my first visit to a modern art fair. I left early to take a tour and take some pictures. Mom how cold! It was snowing. Luckily, Bologna is full of arcades and you can safely walk under the arcades. I love city landscapes with beautiful historical monuments, squares, skyscrapers. Black and white give a touch of ancient and magic to the design. The technique is simple: pencil I use micro mines, otherwise, I would spend time tempering. The hardness 2b, hb, 2h; I finish the drawing with wooden pencils 4h, 8h to leave very little white and 8b to strengthen the blacks and give the drawing three-dimensionality I practically do a "very analog" white balance

In that drawing we perceive the effort of reaching four thousand and the gratification of the beauty of the landscape Then the cities at 400 degrees. I would have liked to draw all over Italy but having neither a sponsor nor a gallery owner I stopped in Rome I varied by drawing the spheres to Esher and making the curious details of the cities I changed format from A5 to meter Now I am drawing the Gargoi of the Milan Cathedral If you gugolate Fabrizio Boldrini illustrator you find everything To summarize instead of having my photographs printed, I redesign them And as Mick Jagger says in Satisfaction I'm always looking for "Photos" that make you excited ...
