Natalia is a Russian-born, Athens-based multidisciplinary artist. Raised in Saint Petersburg, she was surrounded by beauty from an early age, which naturally shaped art as her lifelong passion. With a pedagogical background, Natalia has worked extensively with children and continues to teach art as part of her artistic practice. Since 1999, she has been living and working in Greece. Between 2014 and 2019, Natalia studied academic painting and drawing at the art studio of Lazaros Ktenidis, a graduate of the Saint Petersburg Imperial Academy of Arts. Throughout her artistic career, she has participated in numerous group exhibitions and has held two solo exhibitions. In her work, Natalia explores the mechanisms of self-awareness and self-regulation, focusing on inner dialogue and the ways in which human beings are connected to time and energy. She works with various media to investigate these themes. Her paintings act as a portal to the viewer’s inner world — not engaging in direct dialogue, but gently guiding the viewer toward a personal space of contemplation. It is there that one may encounter oneself and independently move along a path that leads to self-knowledge. Her artworks are held in private collections across Europe, North and South America, Asia, Africa, and Oceania. ARTIST’S STATEMENT My art is about silence. Much of my painting practice is a study of silence and a search for a place where a person can feel at ease — a place free from the noise that fractures consciousness. It is a space where one may pause, listen inwardly, reflect, and gradually return to one’s true self. This connection between a person and such a place is what I call Silence. Beauty and silence are perceived differently by everyone. Inspired by the monuments of Ancient Greece and working with classical painting techniques, I strive to depict the white Silence of Eternity. Just as fragments of ancient greatness have preserved their timeless beauty through centuries, I seek to preserve fleeting impressions and sensations, translating them into visual form. Through my paintings, I invite the viewer into a world where time seems to stand still — a space of quiet presence, where one can simply be oneself, and be free.
