About The Artwork
I was born in Russia and Iiving outside of my birth country always made me feel nostalgic. Some days I can spend hours thinking of my childhood and all the old Russian tales that I used to listen to. This drawing reminds me of the poppy fields that I was often seeing in the countryside during the summer days. I used a mix of graphite pencil and watercolor to make the red poppies stand out. The image is 32cm on 42.5cm drawn on a paper 50cm on 60cm for easy framing. It is signed in the bottom.
